## Key points

- Matt Hamshaw takes charge after Pedersen’s dismissal.
- Slattery returns from suspension and Gray may start.
- Maynard-Brewer is expected to keep goal with Lumley injured.

## Summary

Sheffield Wednesday are expected to face Cambridge United under caretaker manager Matt Hamshaw after Henrik Pedersen was sacked following a 2-0 defeat by Doncaster. The predicted line-up points to a chance for several players to return as Wednesday try to end a poor run of form.

Callum Slattery is available again after suspension, while Reece James and Harry Gray are pushing for recalls; Harry Gray could replace the absent Louie Barry on the left. The forecast XI also includes goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer, with Joe Lumley expected to miss a fourth straight game through a rib injury, and Sil Swinkels, who has been sidelined since August with a hamstring problem. Wednesday’s opponents also arrive after a defeat, losing 3-2 to Plymouth.
