A man has died after being pulled unconscious from the water at Cabarita Beach on the New South Wales coast. Emergency services were called to the popular beach at approximately 12:30pm on Saturday following reports from surfers who discovered the unresponsive swimmer. Members of the public attempted to revive him before paramedics arrived, but despite receiving treatment and being transported to Tweed Valley Hospital, he was pronounced dead.

The victim, believed to be in his 50s, has not yet been formally identified. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and will prepare a report for the coroner. Cabarita Beach is a well-frequented destination for families and nature-lovers along the Coral Sea coast, featuring picnic areas and children's play facilities.
