Sydney Sweeney is set to reprise her role as Millie in "The Housemaid's Secret", the sequel to the hit thriller "The Housemaid", with Brittany Snow now confirmed as the latest cast addition. Snow, known for "The Hunting Wives", will play Marybeth, an unassuming receptionist at the company of the wealthy husband whose family employs Millie, before a sinister secret comes to light. The casting news underlines the growing momentum behind the franchise, which studio Lionsgate greenlit after the original film's surprise box office success.

The first "Housemaid" film, based on Freida McFadden's bestselling novel and released in late 2025, grossed roughly $400 million worldwide against a modest $35 million budget. The sequel, directed by Paul Feig and written by Rebecca Sonnenshine, is scheduled for release on 17 December 2027 and has already secured Kirsten Dunst and Paul Anthony Kelly alongside Sweeney and Snow. The announcement comes as Sweeney remains in the spotlight following her return in the third season of "Euphoria".
