## Summary

James Talarico, the Democratic candidate for US Senate in Texas, said he would be willing to work with President Donald Trump on healthcare, childcare and housing. He argued that some of the promises associated with Trump’s political movement, including helping people who feel left behind, could still be fulfilled through bipartisan cooperation.

In a podcast released on Monday, Talarico said that if Trump wanted to expand access to healthcare and childcare or reduce obstacles to building homes, he would work with him. He also suggested a Democratic election victory could prompt a “rebirth” of Trump’s presidency or serve as a wake-up call. The article notes that Trump has repeatedly attacked Talarico and campaigned for his opponent, Ken Paxton; White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt questioned whether Talarico’s offer was sincere.
