Tamera Mowry-Housley will guest-star as paediatrician Dr Steffie in the second season of ABC’s Scrubs revival. Her character will try to persuade Tosh, played by Ava Bunn, to specialise in paediatrics, adding a new professional influence to the hospital drama.

The 30-minute season will premiere with two episodes on 30 September at 8pm EDT/PDT. Returning characters J.D., Turk and Elliot are now established doctors at Sacred Heart, guiding younger colleagues while managing hospital life; the series is produced by 20th Television, with Bill Lawrence and other returning collaborators among its executive producers.
