Taylor Sheridan Sets 2 New Movies After Leaving ‘Yellowstone’ Franchise
Taylor Sheridan is returning to feature-film writing with two new projects after nearly a decade focused on television, including the Yellowstone franchise and several Paramount+ dramas. The move marks his first film work since 2021 and follows the end of Yellowstone’s original series in late 2024, though its wider universe continues through spin-offs and prequels.
Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions and 101 Studios have acquired rights to Visalia and Capture the Flag, original concepts by producer Andrew Lauren that Sheridan will write. The films had been in development for years before Yellowstone became a major success, and will be produced by Bosque Ranch, 101 Studios and Lauren.
