Tears of Metal, an indie action title from developer Paper Cult, releases globally on July 22, 2026 across multiple time zones beginning at 8am Pacific. The game offers both solo and cooperative play for up to four players, centred around a Scottish military unit defending an island from invaders through a campaign-driven experience.

Gameplay emphasises customisation through over one hundred collectable artefacts used to construct character builds, whilst recruited soldiers gain permanent combat skills that carry across campaign attempts. Players unlock cosmetics, combo abilities, and merchant upgrades as they progress, creating layered progression loops. A free demonstration is currently available ahead of launch.
