Netflix's sports comedy Running Point deserves wider recognition, blending the uplifting workplace humour of Ted Lasso with the chaotic family dynamics of Arrested Development. Created by Elaine Ko, Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, the series follows the fictional Los Angeles Waves basketball team and the dysfunctional Gordon family who run it. Despite not achieving the huge viewership of some Netflix hits, the show has done well enough to be renewed for a third season, expected in 2027.
