Ted Nugent has been inducted into the 2026 Michigan Outdoor Hall of Fame by the Michigan Outdoor Writers Association, which recognised him for decades of promoting hunting, gun ownership and the outdoor lifestyle. The rock musician has shared a full video of his induction speech, in which he paid tribute to his father and bowhunting pioneer Fred Bear, both of whom he credited with shaping his lifelong passion for the outdoors.

The Hall of Fame honours Michigan-connected outdoors communicators and authors of statewide, regional or national significance. Alongside his conservation advocacy, Nugent's biography notes his career selling more than 40 million records and playing over 7,000 concerts, his role as national spokesman for Hunter Nation, several New York Times bestselling books, and his ongoing television and radio shows, "Spirit Of The Wild" and "Spirit Campfire".
