## Key points

- A teenager described being attacked on a DLR train.
- The incident is part of a trial involving 14 attempted murder charges.
- Other passengers reported Williams behaving erratically beforehand.

## Summary

A 17-year-old has told a court how Anthony Williams slashed his face and hand on a Docklands Light Railway train while he was travelling home from Thorpe Park with friends. His account forms part of a trial over a series of knife attacks across two nights, including assaults on passengers aboard a train from Doncaster to London.

The attack took place as the train left West Silvertown in the early hours of 1 November. The teenager said he did not realise he was hurt until others pointed out the blood, and that Williams later threatened him with a knife before a passenger intervened. Williams, 33, denies 14 charges of attempted murder but admits 12 counts of wounding with intent and two of attempted wounding with intent; witnesses also described his erratic behaviour on an earlier train.
