Daily Mail · 4 hours ago

The family of 19-year-old Harriet Boyles have paid tribute after she died in hospital, four days after suffering serious injuries in a car crash in Armitage, near Lichfield. Ms Boyles, from Stoke-on-Trent, was a passenger in a Ford that crashed into a tree in the early hours of 22 August; the 23-year-old driver was arrested and has since been released on bail while police continue their investigation.

Her family described her as "exceptionally bright and determined", noting she had been Head Girl at school and was due to start a finance apprenticeship. They said she had donated six organs after her death, helping to save others' lives, and praised her "kindness, warmth and caring nature". Staffordshire Police have appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage, asking anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident 64 of 22 August, or to use the force's online Live Chat.
