## Summary

Tegan and Sara have released two Christmas songs, “I Love Christmas” and “A December to Remember”, celebrating festive traditions while acknowledging that the season can be difficult for some. The tracks pair cheerful holiday scenes with lyrics about sharing the season’s excitement, making new memories and lifting the spirits of someone who feels blue.

The sisters wrote the songs with Kate Cooper around the time of their 2024 graphic novel, *Crush*, and revisited them after Tegan completed her middle-grade novel, *Merry Christmess*, published in September. Tegan said she watches a Christmas film every day in December and prefers the anticipation to Christmas Day itself, when she can feel depressed. The releases follow September’s “Our Year”, featuring Lights and Felix Cartal, their first new material since 2022’s *Crybaby*.
