British actor Adam Pearson, known for playing Oswald in 2024's A Different Man alongside Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve, is the subject of a new documentary titled Zero Intention of Living Quietly, which will premiere at the Telluride Film Festival. Directed by Edward Lovelace, the film explores how Pearson, who was born with the rare genetic condition Neurofibromatosis Type 1, has navigated a world that often defines him by his visible difference, and how cinema has shaped his sense of possibility and identity.

The documentary centres on Pearson's friendship with Ellie, a teenager with the same condition, whom he meets and sees something of his younger self in; their bond reportedly reignites his passion for film and pushes both of them to confront their fears and reimagine their futures. Pearson said he only agreed to participate after reviewing Lovelace's previous work and deciding the director was trustworthy, while Lovelace said Pearson insisted the film focus not just on him but on the films that shaped his life and on Ellie. The film debuts on Friday, opening day of Telluride's 53rd edition, and is produced by West Buttermilk, Propagate and Ventureland, with John Battsek and Ben Silverman among the producers.
