The Guardian · 2 hours ago

Terry Dyson, the only Tottenham Hotspur player to score a hat-trick in the north London derby against Arsenal, has died at the age of 91. Spurs confirmed his death on Thursday, paying tribute to the winger as a key member of Bill Nicholson's 1960-61 side, which became the first English team in the 20th century to win the League and FA Cup Double.

Dyson made 209 appearances and scored 55 goals for Tottenham over a ten-year spell, scoring in the 1961 FA Cup final and later netting twice in the 5-1 win over Atlético Madrid that secured the 1963 European Cup Winners' Cup. His unrepeated hat-trick against Arsenal came at the start of the 1961-62 season, and he later played for Fulham, Colchester and Guildford after leaving Spurs.
