## Summary

TESTAMENT frontman Chuck Billy has cut his long hair, saying a recent haircut by ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell gave him the confidence to make the change. The 64-year-old described the new look as a fresh start for 2026 and said he felt lighter.

Billy shared videos of the haircut on Facebook on 3 November and explained that he had kept long hair for most of his life, apart from when he was being treated for cancer. His memoir, *Holding My Breath: The Two Testaments Of Chuck Billy*, is due on 10 November 2026; it covers TESTAMENT’s formation and his cancer diagnosis at 38, alongside reflections on his heritage and the metal community. Billy joined the band in the mid-1980s after it changed its name from LEGACY.
