Graham Nash says he still regrets The Hollies’ 1966 recording of Bob Dylan’s ‘Blowin’ In The Wind’, describing the song as something that “pisses me off to this day”. The episode reflected his growing dissatisfaction with the band’s direction and helped set the context for his move towards the more musically ambitious Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Nash now looks back more warmly on The Hollies, praising their ability to entertain audiences and create songs people could dance and sing to. However, he felt the group overlooked his own songwriting and objected to their planned Las Vegas-style album of Dylan covers; although he initially agreed to take part, he withdrew from most of the project, appearing only on ‘Blowin’ In The Wind’.
