## Summary

José González has praised ‘I Root’, a track from Michael Nau’s 2017 album *Some Twist*, as “perfect Sunday morning music”. His comments highlight the value of gentle, warmly recorded songs that can accompany everyday activities while subtly shaping a listener’s mood.

Nau made *Some Twist* through an experimental process, writing and recording often at the same time and working across several locations. The album moves through a 24-hour cycle, from the Motown-influenced opener ‘Good Thing’ to closer ‘Light That Ever’; ‘I Root’ appears early in that sequence. Nau has also released music with Page France and Cotton Jones, as well as solo work.
