Funko has announced a new line of collectible figures based on Sarah J. Maas's fantasy series A Court of Thorns and Roses, adding to the toymaker's existing catalogue that spans franchises from Doctor Who to the NFL. The release taps into the enduring popularity of the book series, which has been described as one of the biggest fantasy franchises since Game of Thrones, and comes as merchandising continues to play an increasingly central role in marketing entertainment properties.

The new range includes nine figures covering key characters such as Rhysand, Amarantha, Tamlin, Lucien and Feyre, priced at $14.99 each and available to pre-order now on Funko's official website. The figures are expected to ship in the first week of October. A television adaptation of A Court of Thorns and Roses is also in development, though it currently has no confirmed streaming home after being dropped by Hulu.
