## Key points

- *Freddy vs. Jason* reaches fifth on HBO Max’s US movie chart.
- The film rose three places in one day.
- Its chart climb comes eight days before Halloween.

## Summary

*Freddy vs. Jason* has climbed to fifth place on HBO Max’s US movie chart, returning the 2003 horror crossover to the spotlight ahead of Halloween. Its rise matters as a sign of renewed seasonal interest, though the chart does not show how many people watched it or what caused the increase.

The film jumped three places from eighth on 22 October, according to FlixPatrol’s rankings, and sits among other horror titles including *Coraline* and *Backrooms*. It brings Freddy Krueger, played by Robert Englund, into conflict with Jason Voorhees, played by Ken Kirzinger, after Freddy tries to use Jason to restore fear in Springwood.
