Special-effects workshop Makinarium, based at Pinewood Studios, has announced a highly detailed replica of the T-800 Terminator's optics as the first collectible in its new Makinarium Studio Edition range. The piece is officially licensed from The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day and made using the same materials and techniques employed on major film productions, giving it more authenticity than typical film merchandise.

The release has been timed to mark the 35th anniversary of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and is being produced as a highly limited item. Pre-orders for the T-800 Optics piece are open now, with the first units expected to begin shipping shortly afterwards.
