Golf Channel has shelved the debut season of its revived reality competition The Big Break after Good Good withdrew as title sponsor of a new PGA Tour event in Austin. The programme’s winner was due to receive a sponsor exemption for that November tournament, so the central prize could no longer be delivered; the decision follows backlash over a Good Good social-media advert.

The 60-second advert reportedly showed a male Good Good member knocking down a female member and saying, “Do not touch my new driver”, prompting Callaway Golf to end its relationship with the company. The series, filmed at Horseshoe Bay Resort near Austin with 12 competitors, had first been delayed from 25 August to 1 September before being cancelled; Golf Channel says it expects The Big Break to return in 2027. The original show ran from 2003 to 2015, and the revival had been announced in October 2025 as its 24th season.
