## Key points

- Heather Tom could win her seventh Daytime Emmy this Friday.
- She is also nominated for writing on “The Bold and the Beautiful”.
- Her six acting wins span three categories.

## Summary

Heather Tom could break a Daytime Emmy acting record at this Friday’s ceremony: a win would give her seven acting awards, more than any actress in daytime history. She is also nominated for writing, making this her first double nomination and adding recognition for work behind the camera.

Tom is tied with Erika Slezak on six acting wins, but Slezak would retain the record for wins in a single acting category, with all six in lead actress. Tom’s awards span younger, supporting and lead actress categories, making her the only performer to win in all three. Her acting nomination is for playing Katie Logan on “The Bold and the Beautiful”; she also credits executive producer Brad Bell with supporting her move into writing.
