## Key points

- Arc accounts become inaccessible on 22 December.
- The Browser Company is prioritising its Dia browser.
- Arc data can transfer automatically; Dia’s AI features are optional.

## Summary

The Browser Company has set 22 December as the date it will shut down Arc, confirming that users will no longer be able to access their accounts after then. The move formalises its shift in focus to Dia and leaves Arc users needing to transfer to the company’s replacement browser.

The company says bookmarks, extensions, passwords and browsing history will transfer automatically to Dia, and says its AI features are optional. Announced last year, Dia offers a chatbot that can use context across open tabs, summarise emails and YouTube videos, and prepare a daily brief drawing on calendars, inboxes and web links.
