The Deals: Reservoir’s PopIndia Acquires Vincey Productions Catalog; A State of Trance Extends Insomniac Partnership

Billboard · 2 hours ago

Reservoir Media's Indian subsidiary PopIndia has struck two deals: acquiring the compositions, masters and YouTube channels of Chennai-based Vincey Productions, and signing a publishing agreement with hip-hop producer Rajvir Singh (30KEY!) for his future work. The moves extend Reservoir's push into India's regional music market, spanning both established devotional catalogues and emerging urban artists, while a separate agreement sees trance brand A State of Trance renew its production partnership with Insomniac.

Vincey Productions' catalogue centres on children's music and Tamil and Telugu Christian and devotional songs, alongside YouTube channels with more than 10 million subscribers combined. 30KEY! is known for work with Punjabi artist Talwiinder and Kashmiri hip-hop acts SOS and Ahmer, and PopIndia also named Diya Patil as its new operations manager. Elsewhere, Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance extended its Insomniac partnership through 2019, with the brand's next flagship festival set for 26–27 February 2027 in Rotterdam; Fono partnered with Mexican label Dinero Nuevo, and Escapism invested in UK event series La Discothèque to fund its international expansion.
