## Summary

Curry Barker has released “Mama Bear”, a nearly five-minute horror short on YouTube, adding a new project from the director of the hit film *Obsession*. The short is unnerving and contains some graphic material, with its release timed ahead of Halloween.

Barker wrote, directed and edited the film, which appeared on his “that’s a bad idea” YouTube channel. Its description thanks Windows for sponsoring it, and Barker was recently shown with a Surface laptop in an Instagram video. His next feature, *Anything but Ghosts*, is due in May 2027; the article also cites the box-office success of *Backrooms*, directed by YouTuber Kane Parsons.
