London-based hardcore punk band the Easy Eight have announced their debut album, The Easy Way Out, and released a new single called "Fear As A Gift". The group was formed last year by former Chubby and the Gang frontman Charlie Manning Walker, initially known by the shortened name EZ8, and this announcement clarifies the project's full name and offers the first substantial details about the record.

The band also features members of the Chisel, Arms Race, Stingray and Last Affront. The eight-track album combines songs from last year's four-song demo with newly written material, including the just-released single. The Easy Way Out is due out on 29 August via Static Shock, with pre-orders now open.
