Richter, who had a small role in *Elf*, discussed the project on *The Daily Beast’s Obsessed* podcast while promoting his recently released book about the film. He said Canadian producer Shauna Robertson was approached about discussing the Edge’s proposed sequel, which was reportedly fully written. Richter did not disclose its plot, and no clear reason was given for why the project fell through.
