## Key points

- A report names the game *The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel*.
- Hammerfell is reportedly the setting.
- Bethesda has not confirmed the details or announced a release date.

## Summary

A report says Bethesda’s next role-playing game will be titled *The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel*, with an announcement possible as soon as November. The news matters because the game was first announced in 2018, and its title and setting have remained unknown to the public.

The report, citing sources familiar with Bethesda’s plans, says the game will take place in Hammerfell and explore the history of the Elder Scrolls. Bethesda has not confirmed these details, and the expected announcement may be limited to the title. November would coincide with the 15th anniversary of *Skyrim*’s launch, but no release date for the new game has been announced.
