## Summary

Steve Kornacki, NBC’s election data analyst, has become a familiar face during US election coverage, but says he is not especially fluent in internet culture. His energetic presentation of results made him a viral favourite in 2020, while his “Kornacki Cam” livestreams drew 42 million views during the 2026 midterm primaries. His popularity contrasts with his limited interest in memes and video calls.

In an interview about his technology habits, Kornacki said he uses an iPhone 17 Pro and an old Dell computer running Windows 7 Pro. His average daily screen time is three hours and 35 minutes, he has 53,828 unread emails and 75 unread texts, and he checks social media to keep up with events and prepare for election coverage. He says he prefers phone calls to FaceTime and recently searched for Boothbay Harbor’s 2024 presidential election results.
