A biopic based on Paralympic sprinter Tony Volpentest's memoir is in development, with Kelli McNeil-Yellen writing the screenplay and Alexander Yellen directing. Titled "The Fastest Man In The World", the film will tell the story of Volpentest, a quadruple congenital amputee who became one of the most decorated Paralympic sprinters in history, with producers highlighting his refusal to let his disability define what he could achieve.

Volpentest set world records in the 100m and 200m at the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics and went on to win four gold medals and one silver across the Barcelona, Atlanta and Sydney Games. Production is scheduled to begin in April 2027 in Kansas City, Missouri, with Dannie Festa (an executive producer on DreamWorks' Trolls franchise) and Anthony Badalucco producing, and Chuck Cuda, Anthony Biondo and Jay Jawarski as executive producers. McNeil-Yellen and Yellen previously collaborated on the film Daruma, which was executive produced by Oscar winner Peter Farrelly, while Yellen is also known for directing Syfy's Z Nation.
