The Fray have announced a return to Australia and New Zealand for February 2027 with the Summer of Light Tour, less than two years after their last sold-out visit. The eight-date run, co-headlined in support by Dashboard Confessional, mixes indoor arena shows with outdoor Lookout Festival dates and will culminate in Auckland with the band's first-ever New Zealand performance. The tour promotes A Light That Waits, the Denver band's first full album in over a decade and their first as a trio of Joe King, Dave Welsh and Ben Wysocki.

The indoor leg, presented by TEG Live, opens at Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena on 5 February and takes in Wollongong, Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and Auckland's Eventfinda Stadium, with support from Dashboard Confessional and Rachael Fahim. The Face to Face Touring-presented Lookout Festival dates add Bastille, Killing Heidi and Little Birdy to the bill across Torquay, Perth, Lake Macquarie and Sandstone Point. The Fray remain best known for their 2005 debut How to Save a Life, whose title track and "Over My Head (Cable Car)" became mid-2000s staples; the album is four-times platinum and the title song has been certified Diamond. Tickets go on general sale on Thursday 17 September at 10am local time, following earlier presales.
