## Summary

The Season 4 premiere of *The Gilded Age* takes Marian and Larry’s relationship in a new direction: after their engagement collapsed, the former couple spend the night together. The impulsive reunion moves their slow-burn romance forward, while introducing a risk that could reshape their place in New York society.

The encounter follows Oscar and Enid’s wedding celebration, when a storm and a broken carriage wheel leave Marian and Larry stranded at a hotel.
