Khloé Kardashian has produced a new unscripted series, "The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project," which premiered on Hulu and Disney+, turning the spotlight onto her close-knit circle of friends rather than herself. The show, on which Kardashian serves as executive producer and narrator, marks a departure from her family's long-running reality format by deliberately positioning her as a background figure rather than a main cast member, even as it draws on the Kardashian brand's reality TV legacy.

The six-woman cast comprises Nicole Williams English, Olivia Pierson, Khadijah Haqq-McCray, Natalie Halcro, Malika Haqq and Yris Palmer, most of whom have prior reality TV experience, with Malika and Khadijah being decade-long friends of Kardashian and three others previously appearing together on E!'s "WAGS". The series follows the women through motherhood, marriage, dating and business, and Kardashian has spoken about unexpected friction within the group during filming. The Hollywood Reporter also revealed that season eight of "The Kardashians" will premiere in October.
