## Key points

- Adam Scott auditioned for all the Scream films.
- He did not get a part in the series.
- His career later spanned comedy, drama and horror.

## Summary

Adam Scott says he auditioned for all the Scream films in the 1990s but never landed a role. The missed auditions came early in a career that later brought him recognition in comedy, drama and horror.

The 1996 film’s success led to an original trilogy released over four years, with many roles across its casts. Scott may have auditioned to play Billy Loomis, though he told Glamour he could not clearly remember; the part went to Skeet Ulrich. Scott later became widely known through Parks and Recreation and went on to star in Severance and horror films.
