Margot Robbie has revealed that a scene in the 2021 film The Suicide Squad was among the most challenging she has ever filmed, requiring an intense four-day shoot to complete. The actor, reprising her role as Harley Quinn, made the comments in a discussion about the physical and emotional demands of the role, highlighting how far she has been willing to push herself for the DC franchise despite mixed reception to earlier instalments.

Speaking at a DC FanDome Q&A, Robbie described an "insane sequence" roughly halfway through the film, widely understood to be the elaborate escape scene in which her character fights her way through a building in a flowing red dress. She said the schedule initially seemed "impossible" and left her "really beat up" afterwards. Robbie also recalled a gruelling underwater chemical-bath scene from the first Suicide Squad film in 2016 as her "least favourite" experience, separate from the difficulty of the 2021 sequence.
