## Summary

The Itch have released their new single, ‘Planned Obsolescence’, following a summer of touring that the article says sharpened the duo’s creative instincts. The track marks a move beyond the indie-dance sound of their debut album, blending club-focused electronics with indie songwriting.

The song addresses fears about technology and the idea that products are designed to break, which the duo connect to people feeling similarly disposable. Simon and Georgia say it encourages listeners to enjoy the present rather than keep waiting for “one day”; the track finds a sense of hope and fun amid those concerns.
