Variety · 2 hours ago

Netflix's new thriller film "The Last House," starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura, launched at the top of the streamer's weekly viewership rankings, drawing 27.5 million views in its first three days. The strong debut makes it both the No. 1 English-language film and the most-watched title overall across Netflix for the week of 3-9 August, underlining the platform's continued success with original thriller releases.

Behind it, Kevin Hart's comedy "72 Hours" held its position with 11.1 million views in its third week, while "Spider-Man: Far from Home" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" rounded out the top English-language films, likely buoyed by the theatrical release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" on 31 July. On the television side, "The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare" remained No. 1 for a second consecutive week with 10.6 million views, followed by the season three debut of "My Life With the Walter Boys" on 9 million views, while "The Bombing of Pan Am 103" held third place for a second week running.
