The Most Anticipated Sci-Fi Adaptation of the Decade Officially Casts Its First Major Star

Jeff Hays, the narrator of the popular Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks, has been cast in Peacock’s forthcoming television adaptation as the voice of Princess Donut, Carl’s talking cat companion. The announcement is the first major casting news for the series and is likely to reassure audiobook fans that the adaptation will retain a familiar element of the original’s distinctive appeal.

Matt Dinniman’s post-apocalyptic litRPG series has published eight books since 2020 and has reportedly sold more than 10 million copies across its instalments. Peacock is developing the live-action series with Seth MacFarlane producing through Fuzzy Door, while Christopher Yost is writing the adaptation; no other cast members were announced.
