Peacock is set to release a new documentary, Fan Level Midnight: Devoted to The Office, on 7 September 2026, arriving more than 21 years after the American sitcom's premiere. The six-part series, directed by Shawn Cauthen, explores the show's history and lasting cultural impact, from its shaky first season to Steve Carell's departure and its acclaimed finale. Its arrival coincides with the return of spin-off series The Paper for its second season the following week, giving Peacock a chance to renew interest in The Office franchise more broadly.

The documentary combines archival footage with fresh interviews from cast and crew, including former NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly, director and executive producer Paul Feig, and actors Andy Buckley and Leslie David Baker. It examines pivotal moments in the show's development, such as early struggles to keep it on NBC and adapt it for American audiences, as well as risk-taking episodes like "Diversity Day". Cauthen, who also edited the film, previously directed 2019's Netflix vs. the World, and the project was first teased with a trailer back in 2020 during production.
