Netflix has released a trailer for *The One About Matthew Perry*, a three-part documentary arriving on 27 October, the third anniversary of the *Friends* actor’s death. It examines how fame affected Perry and aims to portray him beyond his role as Chandler Bing and his struggles with addiction.

The series draws on family archive photos and videos, and interviews with Perry’s sister, friends, former girlfriends and career collaborators. It will cover his acting career, including his *Friends* audition and the creation of Chandler, as well as his efforts to recover from long-term drug use. Perry’s sister says she hopes it offers a fuller picture of his life and legacy.
