NCT’s Taeyong has discussed the broad musical influences behind his work in a new instalment of The Hollywood Reporter’s The Playlist. The rapper and NCT 127 leader said his belief that “music has no limits” informs both the group’s experimental sound and his solo material, including his recent album WYLD.

Taeyong, 31, named artists including Muse, My Chemical Romance, Post Malone and Drunken Tiger among his favourites. WYLD, his 10-track debut studio album, arrived in May after his mandatory military service, while NCT 127 are preparing to release Blingy, their first album in two years; he also highlighted “Cherry Bomb” as an early song that helped establish the group’s identity.
