Nicholson’s Shining axe features in first auction of Kubrick’s archive
Jack Nicholson’s axe from *The Shining* is among hundreds of items in the first auction of Stanley Kubrick’s personal archive. The sale brings film props and materials associated with the influential director to collectors, fans and historians.
The axe is estimated at £30,000 to £50,000, while the “star child” model from *2001: A Space Odyssey* could fetch up to £800,000.
