‘The Sims 4’ Is Getting Two Classic Teen Movies-Inspired Kits

Polygon · 2 hours ago

EA and Paramount Pictures are collaborating on two new Sims 4 kits inspired by the teen film classics Mean Girls and Clueless, giving players items to recreate looks from both movies within the game. The kits, rather than a full expansion pack, launch on Thursday 27 August and consist mainly of Create-a-Sim clothing and accessories, alongside a small number of Build Mode items.

Each kit will cost $3.99, making them cheaper than EA's other Sims 4 kits, though the exact number of included items has not yet been revealed. Confirmed pieces include miniskirts, sweaters, a festive hat, a Mathletes jacket, a velour tracksuit, plaid outfits and Tai-inspired overalls. Reaction has been mixed: while some fans are pleased at the crossover, others have voiced anger in the comments over EA's recent acquisition by Saudi Arabia-backed investors and private equity, with some vowing to boycott further Sims 4 purchases in protest.
