“​​Tulsa King” follows Dwight Manfredi, a former New York Mafia capo played by Sylvester Stallone, who is exiled to Tulsa after 25 years in prison. Forced to rebuild from scratch, he creates a local criminal network and expands into drugs, entertainment and legitimate businesses, while facing rivals, politicians and federal pressure. Its blend of mafia drama, small-town crime and dark humour has kept the series popular on Paramount+ as it prepares for a fourth season.

By the end of Season 3, Dwight controls much of Tulsa’s underworld but faces fresh complications involving a powerful distillery, clandestine work for the FBI and a dangerous rival, Cal Thresher. Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on 16 October, while the spin-off “Frisco King” will follow former hitman Russell Lee Washington Jr., played by Samuel L. Jackson, as he builds his own criminal empire. Taylor Sheridan is writing all eight episodes of the spin-off’s first season.
