A new book of George Harrison's early photographs, titled The Third Eye: Early Photographs, has been announced for release on 8 October via Ebury Spotlight. Compiled and curated by the late Beatle's widow, Olivia Harrison, it collects more than 200 previously uncollected images taken by Harrison between 1963 and 1969, many published for the first time, offering a personal view of The Beatles' rise to global fame.

The collection features Harrison's personal photos and 8mm film stills from the band's travels to the US, Paris, Australia, Miami, Rishikesh and Tahiti, with an introduction by Colm Tóibín and an afterword by Booker Prize-winning novelist George Saunders. A limited deluxe edition will be cloth-bound and foil-stamped in a bespoke case, including a seven-inch vinyl of a never-before-released Harrison song, four photo prints and signed, numbered cards from Olivia Harrison. The announcement comes amid renewed interest in The Beatles, including Sam Mendes's four-part biopic due in April 2028, in which Joseph Quinn will play Harrison.
