## Key points

- Brooklyn’s offence remains among the NBA’s weakest.
- The Nets are 1-6 after seven games.
- Fernández says poor organisation is costing them.

## Summary

The Brooklyn Nets’ long-running offensive struggles have continued despite the team adding more experienced and highly rated players, leaving them with a 1-6 record after seven games. Their inability to organise possessions and find good shots has undermined close stretches, including a fourth quarter in which they scored just 11 points against the Knicks.

Brooklyn ranks near the bottom of the league in scoring, shooting, turnovers and assist-to-turnover ratio, and has averaged 94 points over its past three games. Julius Randle is turning the ball over 4.1 times a game and shooting 41.5 per cent, while rookie Mikel Brown Jr. is below 30 per cent from the field; coach Jordi Fernández and Randle said the whole team needs to improve its discipline and execution.
