The Lost Children of Tuam dramatises amateur historian Catherine Corless’s investigation into the deaths of nearly 800 children linked to Ireland’s Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam. The film highlights how her research exposed a deeply troubling chapter in modern Irish history, while Liam Neeson said the story affected him personally and drove him to help bring it to audiences.

Directed by Frank Berry and starring Monica Dolan as Corless, the film follows her efforts to uncover the truth about children whose deaths lacked corresponding burial records. Neeson, who was raised Irish Catholic, described feeling growing anger and embarrassment after reading a 2017 New York Times investigation, and used his position as a producer to support the independent production; no US release date has yet been announced.
