Jamie Lee Curtis has named the two films she most regrets making, describing them as "laughable, ludicrous" work she is embarrassed by. Despite now being an Oscar-winning actor with hits such as Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Bear behind her, Curtis endured a difficult stretch after her early Halloween and True Lies successes, and these two projects stand out to her as career low points she refuses to revisit.

Her top regret is Virus, a 1999 sci-fi horror in which a ship's crew is attacked by alien robots; Universal spent around $75 million on it, yet it lost roughly $45 million and scored just 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, prompting Curtis to call it "a piece of shit". Her runner-up is Grandview, USA, a 1984 coming-of-age comedy-drama co-starring Patrick Swayze in which she played a mechanic; made on a $5 million budget, it failed to recoup costs and followed her acclaimed turn in Trading Places. Curtis, now 67, has said she will "never, ever" watch either film again, though her career has since flourished through roles in film and television including Scarpetta and a planned Murder She Wrote reboot.
