The finale sees Lestat decline a vampire rock concert before recording an album, The Failures, and suggesting that events involving “the Queen” were his responsibility. In Rice’s story, Akasha is awakened by Lestat’s music and plans to kill most men; she also shares a history with him, having given him blood that increased his power. Based on the programme’s roughly two-year release pattern, a potential follow-up could arrive in June or July 2028, while AMC’s wider Immortal Universe also includes Mayfair Witches and a planned tabletop role-playing game.
