Mexican rock trio The Warning have made history by reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Kerosene”. The sisters Alejandra, Daniela and Paulina Villarreal Vélez are the first Mexican band and first all-women band to top the chart in its 45-year history, marking a notable breakthrough for female-led Latin rock acts in US mainstream rock radio.

“Kerosene” is the group’s first chart-topper after earlier entries including “Money”, which peaked at No. 31 in 2022, and two No. 8 hits. The song also rose from No. 10 to No. 6 on Rock & Alternative Airplay, reaching 3.3 million audience impressions in the week ending 27 August, while recording 255,000 eligible US streams; it appears on the band’s fifth album, *Everything’s Falling*, released on 28 August.
